SIA considers 777 or 380 to Tokyo Haneda

During an interview with Japanese Travel Press JWings (21NOV08 edition), Singapore Airlines' President for the Japan region says given potential economy growth recovery, and Tokyo alone is a big market, it is considering to operate Airbus A380 aircraft on the Singapore - Tokyo Haneda route from October 2010.

It is also considering to operate Boeing 777 aircraft on this route.

シンガポール航空（SIA）のフィリップ・ゴー日本支社長は、本紙取材に応じ、「2010年 10月以降に、羽田空港への乗り入れを考えている。利用客の利便性を考えると需要が見込める路線だと思う。市場の需要動向によるが、経済状況が好転すれ ば、東京市場は非常に大きいマーケットなので、A380での運航も可能性としてありうる」と、羽田空港への路線開設に前向きな姿勢を示しており、市場需要 によってA380型機またはB777型機で運航するという。
